Of Scripture and how it is read

We receive the canonical scriptures as the word of God, read within the tradition, with the Fathers, and with attention to genre, language, and the setting in which each book was written. A verse torn out of its book and used as a weapon against a living person is being misused, and the misuse is the reader’s, not God’s.

Article VI — A church that publishes its convictions as atmosphere rather than as text is protecting itself from correction. The declaration of faith was signed 17 October 2025 and is held in the Chancery in its executed form; the version above is published in full.

Nothing in these articles is novel doctrine. They are the received catholic faith, held in the Roman Rite of 1962 under the 1917 Pio-Benedictine Code. What differs from Rome is discipline and admission, not the Trinity, not the Incarnation, and not the sacraments — and the places where it differs are set out at length on the independence page rather than buried in a subordinate clause.

Where the creeds are concerned this instrument names and cites rather than reproduces. Reciting a symbol of faith from memory in a published document is how errors enter a text and stay there for a century. The books hold the words; this document holds the assent.

Amendment runs through the Chapter and the Board under the Bylaws, and every amendment is entered in the Document Register with its date. A belief you can quietly revise is not a belief, it is a position.

Missal open
to the Ordinary

BELIEF AND PRACTICE

What the articles look like on a Tuesday.

Article VII is why the rite is not adapted for the people this church serves. The Daily Offering, Monday through Saturday, is a low-Mass form and is not a Mass; Sunday Mass replaces that day’s Offering and is offered within this church’s own independent catholic tradition. The books are kept as they stand.

Article VI is why no one is asked to present a birth certificate before a sacrament, and Article VIII is why no one is asked to renounce a conscientious conclusion in order to be received. Article IX is why assistance is administered without a means test performed at the church door.

Article X is the one that binds the others.
