It is an act of God, worked through matter and words the Church did not invent and cannot revise \u2014 water, oil, bread, hands, consent. The minister is a witness and a servant of that act, not its owner.<\/p>\n    <p class=\"bf-p\">That is why affirming Catholic sacraments are not a softer version of anything. They are the same rites, kept in the same books, offered to people other parishes turned away.
