Nobody is asked about their gender, their partner, their divorce, their politics, or the last time they were in a church. There is no line of questioning at the rail because there is no line of questioning to begin with.<\/p>\n    <p class=\"bf-p\">Staying in your seat is also an ordinary thing to do, and it is not read as a confession of anything. The Church has an old and settled answer for this, and it is not a consolation prize.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bf-p\">An Act of Spiritual Communion is a prayer of desire \u2014 you tell God you want to receive, and you ask him to come to you as if you had. Roman bishops recommended exactly this practice to their own parishes during the years their people watched from home, and pastors of many traditions did the same. It is universal to the online form of worship and it is not particular to Bloom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bf-p\">The text most often used is St. Alphonsus Liguori&#8217;s, printed in most prayer books and easy to find; the Chancery will point you to a copy rather than reconstruct one from memory. Say it during the Communion of the Mass, in your own words if the printed ones do not fit your mouth.
