When the Church Forgets Love

Across the world, faith communities are fracturing under fear instead of flourishing in love.
Too many pulpits preach exclusion instead of empathy. Too many churches still close their doors to transgender, disabled, and marginalized people — the very ones Jesus spent His life embracing.

The result?
Spiritual homelessness.
People wandering, wondering if God still wants them.
Hearts that once believed now bruised by rejection disguised as righteousness.

But the Gospel was never meant to wound.
It was meant to restore.
To remind us that mercy is stronger than doctrine and that justice is an act of worship.

At Faith by Bloom Ministries, we were born from that ache — the refusal to let cruelty have the final word. Because love still saves. And the Church can still be healed.

Why We're Different

Faith began when Pastora Tori Matthews, a disabled trans woman of faith, realized that the Gospel’s true power lies in restoration—not rejection.

With a small team of volunteers, Bloom Ministries launched Faith as a gathering for those who had been cast out but still longed for community, Christ, and compassion.

We believe that goodness is rebellion in a world that rewards cruelty—and that love is still the most radical act of faith.

Our vision is to build a church rooted in accessibility, belonging, and embodied grace. Building a sanctuary where transgender, disabled, and marginalized individuals live work together to  create a sanctuary for helping those in need.  A 75+ acre property with a farm, art centers, music studio, and dorms to house those needing to escape toxic environments and establish a happy and healthy faith filled life here in Oregon.
