Bloom Ministries is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) and a registered religious nonprofit in Oregon, founded October 17, 2025 in Salem. That is the paperwork. Here is the substance.
Every institution that was supposed to catch us — the church, the clinic, the caseworker, the agency with the sliding-scale fee that never actually slid — had one thing in common. Somewhere in the process, a person who needed help became a case that needed managing. The help came with conditions, and the conditions came before the help.
Bloom inverts that order. Help first. Questions only if they are actually necessary to help. No proof of worthiness, no demonstration of sufficient crisis, no requirement that you be the kind of person who is good at asking. If you are trans, disabled, queer, exiled, or simply out of options, you are already the person this was built for.
We are trans-led and disabled-led, and that is not a diversity statement — it is an operational fact that changes what gets built. The relocation program exists because someone here has needed to leave a state fast. The in-home care arm exists because someone here has been on the receiving end of agency care that treated a body as a task list. Nobody had to explain the problem to us in a consulting session.

Faith without justice is just ritual. Love without action is just sentiment. We are here to make both real.
Our people have been burned by organizations that raised in their name and spent somewhere else. The only durable answer to that is an open ledger nobody has to request. It is the single most important thing we do that is not direct service.

How Bloom operates — every program, every time
Bloom is not a single program with a mission statement stretched over it. It is a set of arms that each solve a specific failure, sharing one set of books, one standard of care, and one refusal to make dignity conditional.
You do not need to be in the worst possible version of a crisis to deserve a response. If you are reading this and something is wrong, that is enough.
Most people hesitate to contact an organization because they do not know what they are triggering. Here is the whole process, plainly, so you can decide with full information.
Your message goes to a human being, not a ticketing system that routes you by keyword. The person who reads it can actually do something about it — which is the difference between being heard and being processed.
No income verification to prove you deserve help. No documentation of your identity. If a question does not directly change what we can do for you, we do not ask it.
If we can help, we tell you what and by when. If we cannot, we say so directly and point you somewhere that can, rather than leaving you waiting on a maybe. A fast no is more useful than a slow silence.
The ledger tracks dollars — what was spent and on what category of need — so donors can verify the work. It never tracks the people it was spent on. Your privacy and our transparency are not in tension, because they are about different things.

No. Bloom is trans-led and disabled-led, and those communities are who we were built for and who we prioritize. But nobody in genuine need gets turned away at the door over identity. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you and try to point you somewhere better.
Bloom is a registered religious nonprofit, and Faith in Bloom is a real ministry with real liturgy. It is also entirely optional. The overwhelming majority of what Bloom does — relocation, crisis response, care, advocacy — has no faith requirement of any kind attached, and never will. The devout, the deconstructing, and the firmly done are all served identically.

Yes. Bloom Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 39-4922713. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and you will receive a receipt automatically.
There is no floor. A gas card to get to an appointment is a real need. So is a security deposit, and so is a night where you need someone to answer. People routinely wait until a situation is unrecoverable because they did not think it counted yet. It counted earlier.
Yes. You can reach out without giving a legal name, and you can tell us the safest way to contact you — including telling us not to email, not to call, or not to leave a message. If you need us to forget you contacted us, say so and we will.
Monthly giving is the difference between telling someone we will try to raise it and telling someone yes. Every dollar is tracked, the founder takes nothing, and the books are opened rather than defended.
