A directory is only as trustworthy as the money behind it. The Bloom Directory takes no paid placements, no sponsored rankings, and no advertiser money — which means the auditing that makes it worth trusting has to be funded by people who simply want it to exist.

Honest about the stage

The scoring standard, the institutional pages, and the audit engine are built. The auditor portal and the first verified Oregon listings are the current work. This fund is what moves a listing from “submitted” to “verified.”

Being listed is free and cannot be purchased — not now, not ever. If that line ever moved, the Directory would be worthless. Funding it independently is how the line holds.
