      Why Monthly Giving Changes Everything

      One-time gifts matter deeply. But monthly commitments are what allow us to plan, respond, build, and sustain. When you give monthly to Bloom Ministries, you become a Bloom Partner — a steady, reliable presence behind every relocation we fund, every resource we publish, every pastoral conversation we hold, and every person we accompany through crisis.

      What Your Monthly Gift Sustains

      $25 / month $300 over a year. Covers trauma-informed outreach materials, community communications, and pastoral care resources for one full month of ministry operations.
      $50 / month $600 over a year. Directly contributes to travel assistance — gas, bus fare, or flight support — for a trans person relocating from a hostile state to safety in Oregon.
      $100 / month $1,200 over a year. Funds one full month of advocacy research, verified resource publication, casework support, and direct crisis accompaniment for multiple individuals and families.
      $250 / month $3,000 over a year. Sustains emergency housing navigation, legal resource development, and direct crisis response — covering real costs for real people who have nowhere else to go.
      $500 / month $6,000 over a year. Sponsors multiple trans relocations, sustains core operational infrastructure, and makes possible the programs that will one day include the Bloom Directory and Bloom Campus.

      • Disability Justice & Care: Standing alongside disabled neighbors as they navigate systems built to fail them — offering casework, verified resources, and unwavering presence.
      • Mutual Aid & Pastoral Care: Emergency assistance, trauma-informed spiritual support, and sacred community for those abandoned by traditional churches and failed by conventional nonprofits.

      Crisis response that does not fit a program category. Hosting and infrastructure. Insurance and filing fees. Payment processing. The gap between what a restricted grant allows and what a person actually needs. All of it published as its own line rather than folded into program spending.

      Why Unrestricted Matters

      Most nonprofits are cash-poor in exactly one way: flexibility.

      Grant money arrives with instructions. It funds the relocation but not the phone bill that let the person reach us. It funds the program but not the insurance the program legally requires. Organizations end up technically funded and practically stuck, and the gap gets closed by whoever is willing to work unpaid.

      Unrestricted giving closes it instead. It is the least exciting fund on this page and it is frequently the one that determines whether anything else can operate at all.
