Upcoming swaps
The next swap. Set sixty days ahead.
Dates are set with each host at least sixty days out and announced here, and by email, two weeks before. The list is how you hear first. Every swap is free, and you do not have to bring anything to take something.
The board
Clothing swap dates in Oregon and Washington. Choose your city.
Every announced Bloom Swap is listed here with its venue, city, dates, hours and one line about access. Choose a city to narrow the board; your choice stays in this browser.
No swap is announced yet.
Dates are set with each host at least sixty days ahead, and the list hears two weeks before a swap near you. No date is promised until it is on this board.
When nothing is announced, the board says so plainly rather than showing a placeholder date. A swap appears here only after its host has agreed the date and Bloom has entered it, so what you see is what will happen. Each listing has an Add to calendar link.
The list
Tell me when the next swap is.
First or chosen name if you like, one way to reach you, your nearest city. Never a legal name.
We keep what you send only as long as we need it to help you, and never sell or share it. Or write to swap@bloomministries.org.
You hear from this list when a swap is announced near the city you chose, two weeks before it happens. Nothing else comes from it unless you tick the box for Bloom Swap news, which arrives a few times a year. Ask to be taken off at any time, and you are.
How announcements work
How a swap gets onto the board.
Every date moves through the same steps, so nothing is announced before it is real.
Sixty days out
Bloom and the host agree a date at least sixty days ahead. By then the host has said yes to the playbook and the room is confirmed.
Two weeks out
The swap goes on this board, and one message goes to everyone on the list near that city with the venue, the hours and what the room has for access.
The day before
Bloom delivers the racks and the clothes and sets the room by size and style.
The day
You walk in during the hours. No RSVP, no ticket, nothing to bring. Bloom takes everything away the day after.
That calendar is the same one every host follows. How a swap works describes the day itself.
The regions
Where swaps happen.
Hosts are being signed in Portland and Salem first. The list is organised by region, so a message about a swap reaches the people nearest it.
- Portland metro. Including Tigard, where the first Bloom Swap was held. Hosts across the metro are being signed first.
- Salem. Bloom Ministries is based in Salem, and hosts here are being signed first, alongside Portland.
- Vancouver, Washington. Its own line on the list, so a swap across the river reaches the people who chose it.
- Eugene and Corvallis. Two campus cities sharing one line on the list. A campus group or congregation could host here.
- Elsewhere. Anywhere else in Oregon or Washington. Choose Elsewhere on the list, and the count tells Bloom where people are waiting.
See every region on one page, with the board filtered by city.
FAQ
Questions about dates
Still asking? Write to swap@bloomministries.org and a person answers.
How often are swaps held?
As often as hosts and inventory allow, and never on a promised schedule before the dates are set. Bloom plans two swap weekends a year at the founding host, and more as host congregations sign. The board shows what is real; the list tells you when something new is.
Will you text me?
Only if a mobile number is what you gave. The form asks for an email or a mobile number, and one is enough. Either way it is used for swap dates and nothing else, unless you ticked the box for news.
What if I miss one?
Then you come to the next. There is no RSVP to break and nothing counts against you. Stay on the list and you hear when the next swap near you is set.
Can I bring clothes to a swap?
Yes. A swap day is one of the ways Bloom takes donations. Check what Bloom takes and cannot take before you bring a bag, and hand it to a volunteer when you arrive.
