One Standing Decline

We will not connect you to someone we have helped.

This is the most common press request we receive and the answer is always no. Not with a pseudonym, not with details changed, not if they say yes. People in or near crisis cannot meaningfully consent to being a story, and the pressure to say yes to the organization that just helped them is a pressure we refuse to create.

We will speak to patterns, numbers, systems, and policy in as much depth as you want. We will connect you to advocates and experts. We will give you our financials. We will not hand you a person.
