Why the Bloom Trans Relocation Project Exists
Across the United States, transgender, nonbinary, and intersex people are facing increasingly unsafe conditions — driven by hostile legislation, loss of healthcare access, housing instability, and rising threats to personal safety.
For many, remaining where they are is no longer a viable option.
The Bloom Trans Relocation Project exists to meet this reality with action. This program provides direct, practical relocation support to help people leave dangerous environments and resettle in affirming, life-sustaining communities in Oregon.
We are not asking people to endure harm while waiting for systems to change.
We are helping them reach safety — now.
What This Fund Supports Right Now
Your contribution directly supports:
Relocation Assistance
Coordinating safe travel from hostile or unstable states to Oregon, including transportation planning and emergency travel costs.
Housing Navigation & Placement Support
Working with trusted property managers, apartment complexes, and community partners to help secure stable, affirming housing.
Short-Term Transition Support
Providing assistance during the most vulnerable phase of relocation — ensuring people are not left unhoused, isolated, or unsupported during their move.
Privacy, Safety & Responsible Stewardship
All relocation support is handled with discretion and trauma-informed care to protect the safety and dignity of those most at risk.
This fund is focused on immediate safety and stabilization — meeting people where they are and helping them reach a place where they can breathe, rebuild, and belong.
Our Long-Term Vision (Shared Transparently)
Bloom Ministries is also working toward a broader, long-term vision: the creation of a dedicated campus in Oregon designed to offer permanent housing, community space, and supportive services for trans and disabled individuals.
That future work will require separate planning, partnerships, and funding.
The Bloom Trans Relocation Project does not fund property acquisition or campus development at this time.
Today, this project exists for one clear purpose: getting people out of harm’s way and into safety.
Why This Work Matters
Relocation is expensive.
Isolation is dangerous.
Delay can be deadly.
The Bloom Trans Relocation Project transforms generosity into movement and real-world impact — turning care into transportation, compassion into housing access, and solidarity into survival.
Every contribution — large or small — helps someone take a step away from danger and toward a future where they are not under threat simply for existing.
