You can arrive with nothing. Not even a belief.

Faith in Bloom keeps the Roman Rite of 1962 and opens it to the people it was closed to. Worship is published here every day, all nine sacraments are offered, and you can read for months before you say a word to anyone. Nothing has a fee, and nothing requires you to be out to a single person.

WHAT THIS CHURCH IS

An old rite, an open door.

The Church of Bloom is an Independent Catholic body of the Roman Rite in the books of 1962, erected 17 October 2025 under the patronage of St. Mary Magdalene, Apostle to the Apostles. Its canonical framework is the 1917 Pio-Benedictine Code. The liturgy is kept unaltered, word for word, from the same books a traditional parish uses.

It is not in communion with Rome. It claims no Roman faculties, no Roman jurisdiction, and no Roman recognition of its orders, and it says so on every page where you might otherwise assume it. An affirming Catholic church that let you guess about that would already be lying to you about something larger.

What is different here is who is admitted, not what is said. Nothing in the rite has been softened for the sake of the people it welcomes, because nothing in the rite ever excluded them.

On what is asked of you at the door

Nothing is asked of you at the door. Not a name, not a donation, not a statement of belief, not a disclosure of who you are to anyone who does not already know. You may read here for a year and remain a stranger, and the door stays exactly as open on the last day as it was on the first.

The full calendar
THE CHURCH KEEPS TIME

The season is already running without you.

Every day of the year has a colour, a rank, and a set of texts fixed long before anyone here was born. That is the point of a calendar: it does not wait for you to feel ready, and it does not stop when you drop out for eleven years. You step back into it wherever it happens to be standing.

The date above is computed from the calendar of 1962 and updates on its own. If you want to know what this church is reading tonight, the Daily Offering is the answer.

THE QUESTIONS PEOPLE ARRIVE WITH

Asked plainly, answered the same way.

No. People arrive here from anger, from grief, from curiosity, and from nothing at all, and the door does not sort them. Belief is more often what worship produces over years than what it requires on the first night. Read the Offering tonight and decide nothing.
Yes, in rite, sacraments, and discipline. The Church of Bloom is Independent Catholic: it keeps the Roman Rite of 1962 unaltered and the 1917 Code as its framework, and it is not in communion with Rome, claiming no Roman faculties, jurisdiction, or recognition of its orders. Both halves of that sentence are true at once, and the second half is stated rather than blurred.
Yes, and that is written into the instruments rather than promised in a paragraph. Your existence is not a subject of debate, not matter for confession, and not a condition on any sacrament. The name you use is the name entered in the register, in the entry itself.
Nothing has a fee — no sacrament, no preparation, no record, no certificate, no group. Money questions go to the form on the Ask page and are handled nowhere near pastoral care.
No. Most people who read here have joined nothing and asked for nothing, and that is a complete way to be part of an affirming Catholic church. Enrolment exists if you want it, and it stays where you left it if you do not.
THE FIRST STEP

You are already
inside the door.

Reading this page was the whole of it. If you want a next thing, read what actually happens here, or write one sentence to the Chancery.
