YOUR FIRST VISIT

Three in the morningis a normal hour here.

A first visit to a church is usually the hardest part, so this one has been stripped of everything that makes it hard. It happens online, in text, whenever you are awake. No camera, no roll call, no account, and nothing that puts your name in front of anyone.

WHAT A VISIT ACTUALLY IS

You open a page. That is the visit.

There is no address to get to, no service time to make, and no room where the wrong person might recognise you. Worship is published as text and read alone, which removes the entire category of risk that keeps most people out of churches.

This matters for specific reasons. People read here from group homes, from hospital beds, from a car in a car park, from a house where being caught with a church page open would be its own problem. A first visit to a church should not require you to be safe first.

Nothing about the page announces itself. The title in your browser tab says what the page is, and you can close it in one motion.

WHAT TO DO TONIGHT

Four steps, none of them involving another person.

Open the Daily Offering

Or Sunday Mass if today is Sunday, since Mass replaces that day’s Offering. Nothing to install and nothing to sign in to.

Read as far as you get

Six minutes end to end, and stopping halfway is not a failure. Many people read the same three lines for a week before going further.

Close it

No confirmation, no counter, no follow-up. There is no attendance record in this church because there is no attendance.

No roll is taken — ever

Come back or don’t

Tomorrow’s is published either way. If you disappear for a year, nothing has lapsed and nobody is owed an explanation.

On being seen

This church keeps no attendance record, runs no camera, and takes no roll. Reading creates no account and no membership, and there is no moment in any liturgy here where you are asked to identify yourself. If you want to be known, you write and say so; until then you are a reader and nothing more, which is a complete and honourable way to belong.

“Nobody has to be brave to be here. The door was built so that courage would not be the entry requirement.”

Pastora Tori Matthews, Ordinary and Chief Pastor

THE QUIET QUESTIONS

Asked by almost everyone, out loud by almost no one.

No. Nothing here tests you and nothing here assumes an answer you have not given. Read it as prayer, as argument, or as a text you are auditing from a safe distance.
This church keeps no attendance record and takes no roll, and reading creates no account. Like every website, the server that serves the page keeps ordinary technical logs, and the privacy policy states exactly what those are — which is why it is linked above rather than buried.
No. There is no camera in this church and nothing to join at an appointed hour. Worship is text, published for the day and left there.
No. Petitions are answered as they arrive, including from people who sign nothing or use a name that is not on any document. You will never be asked to prove who you are.
All of those are ordinary and none of them are visible. A first visit to a church after a bad one often goes badly for ten minutes and well afterwards, and there is no witness here to make that worse.
WHENEVER YOU ARE AWAKE

The page is open
and it is not waiting for you.

Nothing about this needs to be arranged, announced, or survived. Open today’s worship and see what it is.
