Why This Page Exists
Our people have been burned before.
Trans and disabled communities have a long, specific, well-earned distrust of organizations that raise money in their name. The pattern repeats: a fundraiser goes viral, the need is real, the money comes in, and then the accounting simply never appears. Nobody is prosecuted. The organization quietly rebrands. The people who gave feel foolish, and the people who needed the help learn one more time that asking is dangerous.
The only durable answer to that is a ledger nobody has to request. Not a annual report released eleven months late. Not a pie chart with three categories. A running account of what came in and where it went, published while it is still relevant, including the parts that are unflattering.
A transparency commitment only means something in the years the numbers are awkward. Anyone can publish a good quarter.
This is the single most important thing Bloom does that is not direct service, and it is the page we would want to read first if we were you.
